SAN DIEGO, CA, July 16 – BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin has his sights set on throwing the most festive experience imaginable at San Diego Comic-Con International. The cannabis tech entrepreneur is offering $10,000 to anyone who can get NBA star LeBron James to attend the BudTrader Nerd headquarters at a conference this weekend.<\/p>\n
In a statement, McLaughlin laid out very clear rules for his reward for LeBron.<\/p>\n
“You can’t kidnap him,” says McLaughlin. “No, I mean you really can’t. He’s 6’8″, 300 pounds, stands 40 inches tall and is the greatest athlete of our generation. So we have to appeal to LeBron in other ways besides brute force.”<\/p>\n
The second rule set by McLaughlin is that LeBron has to stay in the BudTrader Nerd HQ for at least 23 minutes. “Forbidden to walk through!” McLaughlin says, “We want to get to know him and see what he’s about. Is that in us? Is he here to win titles? Third, McLaughlin says he’ll let LeBron “turn himself in” by showing BudTrader’s Comic-Con experience on his own. In this case, BudTrader will donate the $10,000 bonus to a worthy cause. McLaughlin suggests that LeBron consider investing the money in what he considers his ‘noblest cause’, renting an In-N-Out Burger truck to come to the BudTrader Experience at San Diego Comic-Con and feed the attendees from SoCal – Lebron’s new fans. The NBA star has just signed to the Los Angeles Lakers in an incredibly stunning decision. “If LeBron is a LA Laker player now, and an LA guy, he should know about In-N-Out burgers! We’re trying to win and the NBA Championship here!”<\/p>\n
Next, McLaughlin lays down the fourth rule for his reward for LeBron James: No smoking from LeBron! “It’s not the first time we’ve met, at least!” He adds, following up with some strong reasoning, “Magic Johnson and the Lakers and his management team wouldn’t let him get close to us if they thought we were going to smoke him. The BudTrader Nerd Headquarters is set to be one of the most talked about events at Comic-Con, touted as a live streaming experience to rival even big-budget studios and shows. “Our audience will be as large of the television networks as the entire audience of TBS,” said McLaughlin. The brand will host daily events such as exclusive movie and TV show previews, video game tournaments (including a showdown between fully professional female gamers), celebrity interviews and live performances by the enigmatic hip-hop star. The entire experience will be broadcast live via TV, Radio, Twitch and Live in collaboration with local and national channels to spread the BudTrader experience to millions of people. McLaughlin says the events publicly announced so far are just a fraction of the tricks BudTrader pulled to wow attendees at Comic-Con International 2018.<\/p>\n
This wouldn’t be the first year that BudTrader has made a scene at Comic-Con. The BudTraders superyacht party of 2017 resulted in their controversial firing after just two days.
